Committee Reports

Membership – Randall Bearing has joined the Chamber. Liz & Angie hope to get out soon and take some pictures of the new members.

Lemonade Stand – Everything went very well this past weekend at the Coldwater Community Picnic. We are going to request for lids next year to keep the bugs out of the drinks. Since the caramel flavored coffee was very popular and we ran out, may only offer that flavor next year. We had a lot of the vanilla left over.

Parade – Everything went well with the parade also. Believe people enjoyed the sunglasses, Frisbees and lip balm that we handed out.

Banquet – The date is planned for February 21st, 2018. Angie has contacted Marcia Homan at the American Legion to reserve the date. She is going to contact Romer’s Catering to reserve for catering and Calico to reserve them for dessert again.

Hometown Christmas – Keith Selhorst reported that the train and the ponies have been booked for this year’s Hometown Christmas on Sunday, November 19th. Keith and Eric Thomas are going to work with the Coldwater Police department to plan a route for the train to follow. Kim Rammel volunteered that the train could turn around in Performance Physical Therapy & Wellness parking lot.

Old Business

Leadership Class – Becca Wenning and Sher Stahl need to get their applications filled out ASAP if they are going to go, there was only four spots left. Angie was going to reach out to them both again.

American Legion Banner Brackets – We received a Thank You from the American Legion for purchasing the brackets. There are over 100 banners up around town and at Briarwood, they look great!

New Business

National School Choice Week – Angie was contacted by Sandy Brown that they were going to send us a box of supplies (scarves, signs, stickers) to promote National School Choice Week. It was decided by the trustee’s that this is not something the Chamber would like to support.
