MINUTES – July 14th, 2020

The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce held it’s monthly meeting at the Village Offices with the Zoom meeting option as well due to Covid-19.

Trustees Present: Brad Niekamp, Keith Kessen, Keith Selhorst, Lindsey Meyer, Jason Wood, Eric Thomas, Nathan Burtch, and Gina Hess

Guests: None

Officer Reports:

Treasurer’s Report – was presented by Keith Selhorst and Brad Niekamp via email. The reports were motioned for approval by Nate Burtch and seconded by Keith Kessen.

June Income: $114.01

June Expenses: $476.40

Checking balance as of June 30, 2020: $26,254.86

Gift Certificate balance as of June 30, 2020: $14,692.54

Secretary’s Report – the minutes from the June meeting were provided by Lindsey Meyer and reviewed. The meeting minutes were motioned to approve by Jason Wood and seconded by Gina Hess.

Committees’ Report:

Website/social media – We can advertise for the downtown sidewalk sales next month to help increase traffic.

Hometown Christmas – Sunday Nov 22 – Keith Selhorst will be contacting Leiningers to reserve the ponies and the Celina rotary to reserve the train. 

Old Business:

Where’s Charlie? – He is at Rooster Joe’s for July

Will try to get in a business on the strip for August

Cancelations – Taste of Town and Lemonade Stand

Our next event is Hometown Christmas

New Business:

Gift Certificates – Raffle during sidewalk sales 

Enter to win with purchase – we want to avoid people coming in to the business JUST to enter the drawing.

Re-allocated funds from the Chamber seminars in the budget ($200)

President Brad Niekamp adjourned the meeting at 7:45am.
