MINUTES  –  May 11, 2021

The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce held the monthly meeting at the Village Offices on
Tuesday May 11, 2021 at 7:31am.

Trustees Present: Keith Kessen, Morgan Bechtol, Jon Dingledine, Eric Thomas, Gina Hess, Kirstie Miller,
Michelle Clune, Kylie Twaits, Stacy Schwieterman, Jason Wood, and Bryce Schlater

Officer Reports:

  • Treasurer’s Report – was presented by Kylie Thwaits. The reports were motioned to approve
    by Jason Wood and seconded by Stacy Schwieterman
    • Checking balance as of April 30, 2021: $31,069.16
    • Gift Certificate balance as of April 30, 2021: $14,585.04
  •  Secretary’s Report – minutes from the April 13, 2021 were presented by Jon Dingledine. The
    minutes were motioned to approve by Gina Hess and seconded by Kylie Twaits.
  • Committee Report:
    • Membership
      • Moeller Brew Barn will be joining the chamber
      • Discussing membership with Penny Jane Art
    •  Website/Social Media
      • Amy Spriggs continues to post updates to the website and on social media. Thanks
    •  Taste of the Town
      • Keith Kessen provided an update on the event, which will be held on June 8th. Venture
        Linx will be distributing the flyers to area business and help with ticket bundling.
        Tailspin, Moeller Brew Bard, and Vineyard at Evergreen will be the wine and beer
        vendors this year. Food Vendors include Briarwood Village, McDonalds, Pla Mor Lanes,
        Kiwanis, McSobers, Rooster Joes/Calico, Mariachis, and Southside. We are waiting on a
        couple items to complete the menu’s, which should be coming in the next day or two.
        We are still waiting on the liquor license. Stacy is working with the vendor for banners
        and larger signs.
    • Coldwater Parade
      • At this time, there is not a lot of interest amongst the Chamber to participate.
        • Pole Mounted Christmas Lights
      •  Decision was made to hold off on officially approving funds for this project. Additional
        discussion is going to be had with Brad Niekamp.

Old Business:

Mercer County Leadership-In-Action Class

  • Michelle Clune is interested in attending
    • Sun Screening Updates
      • Mercer Health will not be holding the event this year.
    • Where’s Charlie
      • Keith Kessen will be getting more information from Brad Niekamp and deciding when
        the appropriate time is to continue.


New Business:

  • Taste of Town signup sheet was handed out to work the tickets and water stands.

Other Business
Michelle Clune provided an update on the Ohio Business Week, which is going to be held
regionally this year.

Morgan Bechtol brought in muffins and drinks from McDonalds. Thanks Morgan!

Kirstie Miller motioned to adjourn the meeting and seconded by Michelle Clune. President Keith Kessen
adjourned the meeting at 7:55 A.M.
