Lindsey - editedLindsey Moeller, MS, ACNP-BC, Certified Nurse Practitioner, joined the Mercer Health Weight Management Center Team

Lindsey will provide medically managed weight loss services, and will also see surgical patients in the Weight Management Center clinic three to four days a week.

Prior to joining the Mercer Health team, Lindsey spent the last 10 years working at The Ohio State University Medical Center & James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, OH. She started her career working as a Registered Nurse caring for patients battling a variety of cancers, administering chemotherapy, and providing care before and after surgery as well as radiation. After  receiving her Master’s Degree from Wright State University and becoming a Board Certified Adult-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Lindsey moved to the Medical Intensive Care Unit at OSU Medical Center, and worked as a nurse practitioner. Here she worked with a variety of cancer and non-cancer patients who were critically ill. Lindsey also worked as a traveling nurse prior to working at The Ohio State University and spent time in Boston, San Diego, and San Francisco.

Lindsey’s extensive job experience has given her the opportunity to work with thousands of  patients battling obesity in addition to their cancer and other medical problems. Lindsey states: “I have seen the complications that can be caused by obesity. I believe it is a disease just like high blood pressure and it takes dedicated healthcare providers to treat this disease. As a nurse practitioner in bariatrics, I want to help treat each patient individually and design a treatment plan for obesity that is life changing! By treating obesity, other medical problems are potentially reversible and/or preventable. This is why I am so excited for this opportunity to work at Mercer Health in the Weight Management Clinic! We share a vision to grow the program by expanding nonsurgical programs with classes, support groups, meal replacements, coaching, medications, and having more appointment times/days available.  With these changes, our goal is to serve more patients and impact more lives in the community!  The mission of Mercer Health is to positively steer our community’s health and we believe our program can assist with achieving this goal.”

Lindsey now resides in Minster, OH with her husband and two young sons. In Lindsey’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, exploring different lifestyles and foods, attending church on Sundays, gardening, trying new recipes, organizing, running, group fitness classes, and bowling.
