The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce held its regular monthly meeting on March 8th, 2022 at the Village Offices

Trustees Present: Amy Spriggs, Kylie Thwaits, Kirstie Miller, Megan Stull, Andy Kremer, Sarah Topp, Morgan Bechtol, Stacy Schwieterman, Jason Wood.

President Amy Spriggs called the meeting to order at 7:32 A.M.

Guests:

  • No guests present

Officer Reports

Treasurer’s Report – was presented by Kylie Thwaits. The reports for 2021, 2022, January and February were motioned for approval by Andy Kremer and seconded by Jason Wood. Motion carried.

  • Checking account balance as of February 28, 2022= $30,402.85
  • Gift Certificate Balance as of February 28, 2022 – $17,370.04

Secretary’s Report –Secretary Jon Dingledine was not present to present the secretaries report.

Committee Reports

Membership

  • Several New members at the end of 2021. Full listing on website.
  • Postcards to highlight membership
  • 12 Members have outstanding dues payments
    • Members will be contacted with payment reminders

Website/ Social Media

  • Amy will continue with the help of Stacy and Kirstie
  • Chamber Chatter – may move to quarterly due to members not sending information to share

 

Old Business

  • Where’s Charlie – completed until August
  • Awards Banquet was a success!
  • Membership Postcards are Ready to be sent

New Business

Officers

  • Amy Spriggs will move from Vice President to President
  • Kirstie Miller was nominated by Amy Spriggs for Vice President
  • Kylie Thwaits will continue as Treasurer, and
  • Jon Dingledine will continue as Secretary.
    • Officer Positions were motioned to accepted by Amy Spriggs and seconded by Jason Wood with unanimous votes from Trustees. Motion carried.
SOCA
 
  • In the planning stages for an in-person / hybrid event to discuss benefits. This would be open to all Chamber Members.
  • Potential to host this in conjunction with additional area chambers.

Save the Date(s)

  • Monthly Meetings:  4/5, 5/10, 6/14, 7/12, 8/9, 9/13, 10/11, 11/8, 12/13, 1/10
  • Taste of the Town – June 7, 2022
  • Community Picnic (Lemonade Stand) – August 6 & 7
  • Hometown Christmas – November 20, 2022

 

Other Business
  • Jason Wood – Mentioned to the trustees that he will have a replacement in his seat beginning in August as he has accepted a position with another school district. The Trustees wish him well in his future endeavors.

Stacy Schwieterman motioned to adjourn the meeting and it was seconded by Andy Kremer. President Amy Spriggs adjourned the meeting at 8:06 AM.
