MINUTES – May 12th, 2020
The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce held it’s monthly meeting at the Village Offices with the option to join via Zoom. This option was provided due to the COVID-19 social distancing and stay at home orders.
Trustees Present: Brad Niekamp, Keith Kessen, Keith Selhorst, Lindsey Meyer, and Eric Thomas
President Brad Niekamp called the meeting to order at 7:30am.
Guests: No guests present.
Officer Reports:
⦁ Treasurer’s Report – was presented by Keith Selhorst via email prior to meeting. Keith S. reviewed April 2020 Income and Expenses as well as Gift Certificate balance. The reports were motioned for approval by Keith Kessen and seconded by Brad Niekamp. Motion carried.
⦁ April Income: $74.70
⦁ April Expenses: $647.00
⦁ Checking balance as of April 30, 2020: $26,330.67
⦁ Gift Certificate balance as of April 30, 2020: $12,812.54
⦁ Secretary’s Report – the minutes from the April meeting were provided by Lindsey Meyer and reviewed. The meeting minutes were approved with a motion to approve by Keith Selhorst and seconded by Keith Kessen. Motion carried.
Committees’ Report
⦁ Membership – no new members
⦁ Plaque distribution will continue after Covid related restrictions loosen up.
⦁ Taste of the Town – This event has been canceled due to Covid restrictions. We can revisit if restrictions lift significantly.
Old Business
⦁ Christmas Lights – We want to avoid any unnecessary spending so we will currently suspend any Christmas light purchasing.
⦁ Committee Sign Up Sheet – Currently unable to determine what events we will be able to have this year
⦁ T-Shirts – Ordering 3 shirts for new members.
New Business
⦁ Where’s Charlie? – on hold until at least July.
⦁ PPE for Chamber Businesses – Totally Promotional offering a 15% sale to chamber members.
⦁ Gift Certificates – reviewed ideas on promotions.
President Brad Niekamp adjourned the meeting at 8:00am.
